Cadillac Margarita, Niecy Nash Style — No Agave Needed

For when it's top shelf all the way!

When Niecy Nash-Betts pulls up to the house, you know two things are guaranteed: you’re about to laugh, and you’re about to sip something premium.

This Cadillac Margarita is exactly that — smooth, top-shelf, and just like Niecy, it doesn’t need anything extra to shine. We skipped the agave and simple syrup altogether in her episode. Why? Because sometimes, when the ingredients are this good, less really is more.

Here’s how we made it (makes two)

  • 4 oz tequila (use your favorite top-shelf)

  • 2 oz Cointreau or triple sec

  • 4 oz fresh lime juice

  • 2 oz Grand Marnier, divided

  • Salt for the rim

  • 2 lime wheels for garnish

To make it:
Shake tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice over ice (no sweetener needed). Salt your glass rim, add fresh ice, and pour in your mix. On the side? A shot of Grand Marnier — ready to float on top or shoot back, dealer’s choice.

Clean. Balanced. Elevated. Just like the conversation in her episode.
